HI everyone!

So I've been in bed sick for the past couple days, and my mother called this afternoon to see how I was feeling. She was working when she called, which involves going into stores/comparing prices. She was at Walmart when she called, After asking me how I was doing, she was like, "Out of curiosity, which Neopet is your favorite?" This struck me as really weird, since I rarely discuss Neopets with my family.

I asked her why, and she said she was just wondering. I knew if I named a species, she'd have no idea what I was talking about. I was like, "uhh.. I like the little ones with wings and a tail that kind of look like a dragon." She simply replied, "Oh, ok!" I was totally embarrassed by the question. I figure she was looking at plushies or something for Christmas. I still don't know why she asked, exactly. I hope I have a yellow Cybunny jumbo plush coming my way!

So here's my question. What do your family/friends/significant others think about your Neopets? I know Joel thinks Neopets is silly, but he knows it makes me happy. Come to think of it, Neopets is silly. It's fun, though. He has a tendency to feed my habit, as well. He bought for first NC Card and now I can't stop. D: He also has his Warcraft which is silly, but it's fun (I've been taking over his WoW account recently to play.) A lot of the ideas (Especially the supply and demand and inflation/deflation concepts) are really similar. I am funny.

I'm trying to think up the best way to approach this, and I want some input. :x

Two of my dream pets are an Ice Hissi and a Maraquan Draik. Obviously I would need to zap for my Hissi, but would it be wise to get a Hissi first and then zap it..? Or some random species and wait until it's zapped into a Hissi? I don't want to be spending NP on morphing potions if I don't have to.

Same question with the Draik! Because a Maraquan Draik is crazy expensive... Plus I just had to want give it a Maraquan Pofew and a Glyme, so its total is at 25,330,000 NP if I went the traditional route. xD;;

My right arm, the one with the ulnar nerve compression, has never been the same since I originally had the condition. The last two fingers have very little feeling in them and because of this I cannot fully grasp things. Last night, me and a guy named Matt were horsing around, and he banged his elbow against my bad one, right in the spot where the nerve had been compressed and relocated. My arm tingled like the funny bone was hit (1000times worse than that) and my fingers went even more numb than before. Then they started to tingle. I fucking have feeling in them again. Not even lying.

So, the good news is that, despite having to work for a few hours, then take up an emergency babysitting job, I actually got some time to play on my account today. I was surprised that I did fairly well on the challenges for GMC today and then, much to my great delight, I got something from the wishing well after my third donation try! I only asked for a Baby Lupe Plushie, but something is way better than nothing (they are adorable, but I couldn't bring myself to spend nearly 100k on a plush when I don't collect them, lol). It was turning out to be a pretty decent day, all in all.

Then, IT happened.

I went to put the Green Uni Morphing potion into my SDB when... when...

My kitty cat thought it would be a great idea to jump up ON MY DESK instead of my lap, which scared me, which led to random button pushing on both of our parts...

And now my DESERT KACHEEK IS A GREEN UNI. There are no words ._____.

As a side note, to distract me from my mourning, how are you all doing? Have a decent enough Turkey Day, for those of you who live in the US? Man, I'm still trying to convince the Target in my city to get some Series 7 plush, but they won't budge!

Today, my mom bought me Audiosurf and I am addicted. That is like the coolest game in the world. Ever. I want to play it nonstop.

Also, Mike farmed me a Firefly pet in WoW, aww. ;____; I have wanted one of those since they released and was never successful in farming one. My mom's had one forEVER and always rubs my nose in it so HA, MOM.

You guys remember when I farmed up Mr. Pinchy and it took FOREVER and then I used all three of my wishes and didn't get the pet? Wellllll a few weeks ago, I got the random idea to try again, so I went out and started fishing...
Less than 15 minutes later [like I was literally on the 3rd pool of fish], I had another Pinchy! The pet dropped on my THIRD wish, it was so nerve-racking! But YAY I have a Magical Crawdad now. :D

Beau and I played lots of Rock Band today and it made my knee hurt [gah I hate the bass pedal]. And I'm eating soup. And. I did some drawins. :D Including a new icon for myself that I haven't uploaded yet because I kind of hate how it turned out. Needs a bit more tweaking.

There's several reasons for this, mostly because I'm much better at animals (specifically MAMMALS) than I am at humans, an a detailed human drawing will look like crap in comparison to a detailed dragon drawing, which will in turn look not QUITE as good as a detailed canine drawing. Right, so...

I'd really like a reference picture. It's kind of hard to work from a description, although a description alongside a picture is great. I'd seriously prefer that there weren't like... lots and lots of baubles and clothing and hair and wings and poof. But that's at your discretion.

So I just signed up for the 15 day trial (I guess I have to do that before I can pay them for a while month) and was poking around the Premium portal. I saw I had some unread mail in my shiny new neopets webmail, but of course since I just started, it wanted me to log in to look at them.

Except I can't.

Firefox IMMEDIATELY freezes the moment it gets to the webmail login page. I've tried hitting the stop button before it can completely load, no go. I've tried updating my firefox, no go. I've tried clearing my cache, no go. I'm using FF 3.5.5 now. It just completely locks up my browser and I have to force it to restart.

Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do other than use another browser JUST for neopets, which I really don't want to do? I don't know if I'll continue premium (sorry to my referrer!) if I can't use firefox to get to my webmail, that's kind of ridiculous.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The sky here is overcast, there is a lot of mist in the air. Not quite fog, but it feels like a cloud is hugging the ground.

On the drive back to my house we saw a red glow on the horizon, above the treeline. It looked surreal and unnatural. We soon realized the glow was caused by brake lights, the sheer amount of vehicles turning the sky red. Vehicles waiting for tomorrow.

In five hours I head to work and there is nothing about tomorrow I am looking forward to, except perhaps leaving. Because as added insult, I also work the Saturday nightmare. But enough bitching. For those of you also having to work in retail, stay strong.

I am thankful for friends who stand by me through the good and bad times with shoulders to lean on even when I don't take full advantage of those shoulders. Fresh on my mind are those of you who responded to my freak out last night. Thank you guys so much. You helped more than I let on.

I am thankful for a husband who loves and cares for me.

I am thankful for my parents and their guidance throughout my life and continued immense support. I wish I talked to my dad more often, but I'm glad I still talk to my mom nearly every day. I definitely took her for granted when I lived at home. Sorry, Mom, I didn't mean to cause you so much pain. <3

I am thankful for my brothers who still seem to enjoy spending time with and talking to me. They're growing up so fast and I am proud of all three of them. I hope they find what they want out of life without too much trouble.

I am thankful for extremely patient and generous friends and acquaintances. Without them, I would never have made it through these past couple years. I don't think I'll ever be able to accurately describe how wonderful you guys are. I'm sorry if it's ever seemed like I've tried to take advantage of any of you. I've never wanted that. I am doing my best to make it up to all of you. I know it doesn't seem like I'm doing much, but I think about it constantly. I will fix this in the next month or two. Just be patient a little bit longer.

I am thankful for World of Warcraft because without it, I would not have ever met the guy who has been working so hard this past month to help get us out of the hole we're in. Thank you so much, Mike. You've done more for us than you know.

I am thankful for the hand I was dealt, even if I may not always fully appreciate or understand the things that happen. I'm slowly becoming a stronger, better and wiser person. No matter what goes on, it could always be worse. I've learned so much about myself, even just in the past couple weeks. I've still got some growing up to do, but I'm on my way.

I am thankful for our pets. Even though they make us angry sometimes, there's no malicious intent. They love unconditionally and are always willing to forgive our human mistakes. :P Edgar's helped me through a lot more than he has the capacity to understand. He is a special little soul and I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't made the decision to adopt him. Best choice I've ever made, hands down. I have never regretted it for a second.

And, of course, I am thankful for the internet because it is a magnificent invention that puts me in reach of so many people. I use it for communication, learning, distraction and so much more.
I do wish to get away from it more often [that'll be one of my New Year's resolutions], but for today, I'll just be grateful it gives me so many opportunities.

I know a couple of you are having crappy days so far [honestly, mine hasn't been that great], but I hope things get better for you. Try to focus on the positive, even when it doesn't seem like there's much to focus on. It's really helped turn my outlook around today.
