doug's in maryland. at the same pilot where we had to stay at for three days. the place he was delivering to wasn't open on the weekends and we got there late friday night and camped out all weekend. we watched like a whole season of dead like me.
i asked him to get me a shotglass.
when we met up with him last saturday, he gave me a texas shotglass from the super fancy truck stop where we ate crocodile jerky.
the one he got me from north carolina is from the TA we broke down at and had to be towed out of. then we sat up for a weekend in a hotel room ;3

i kinda want to do an icon trade. i want to start drawing a little bit again but need extra motivation to pick up a pencil. plus i want icons :o but i'm not wholly confident in what my l33t skillz may produce cuz i'm so out of practice. so...yeah >.>

holy carp!! dusty fixed my computer last night!
he took it apart and actually said something about my motherboard possibly being fried. but, then he put it back together and it worked. make that into sense. BUT HUZZAH! <3

marbled_genet, the colored version of that picture is absolutely the most adorable thing i've ever seen in my life! i love it. i had to go ahead and make an icon with it :P i love love love it. i sent doug a picture and he thinks it's awesome. i'm so happy with it <333 thank you so much. i like the idea of the stars in the background, and everything is just perfectly perfect.

that's just the preliminary sketch of the piece she's doing for me, but i had to show it off.
that's the first visual reference i have of doug's character. and he's so damn cute! xD i showed him while he was home this week and he was really impressed <3
i'm going to try to have a few more pictures of us done, so i'm going to put his info here to have this post as a reference link.

he's a miniature horse/pony.
he has white fur but it has a worn, dirty coloration to it (lots of cream and tannish shadows).
very short mousy brown hair and long tail of the same color.
slighty greyish blue eyes.
pierced tongue and these tattoos - back and right calf.
most often wearing a tank top ("wife beater"), either black or white, and loose-fitting jeans or shorts.
accessories include a chain from his belt to his wallet in his back pocket, left side. he usually also has a carabiner with a ton of keys on it clipped to a belt loop on his right side.

Werner gave Doug a rental car to go out to Dallas & get a new truck Monday. Theres no use in leaving yet so we're tooling around in a new Dodge Charger. So hot.

doug dropped me on my FACE. lol.
no biggie. lots of jager was involved. lots. and neither of us had had a drink in two months. i don't really remember what happened but he was upstairs doing laundry and i was sitting on top of the dryer. something in drunken play land gave us the idea of piggy back rides. i do not advocate carrying around your flailing drunken girlfriend when you yourself are jagermiester of the stumblefall, especially if she's on the chunkyhunky side like me, lol. we were okay, but he tripped over something on the floor or something, i completely can't remember. i remember falling, just because all i cared about was not landing on my eyebrow ring. i felt my barbell touch the floor and that's the only thing i remember scaring me. i didn't hit it, i landed on my ear and i've got a little road rash on the top of my ear and a couple of small spots on my temple. it was so so so close to smashing my eyebrow into the floor. i don't give a shit about my ear.
he felt so bad. i felt bad that he felt bad because i really didn't think it was that big of a deal. he cried. it was sweet :P i know it was an accident and i'm over it, but he's mentioned how sorry he is every day since it happened. that was thursday night. next time he starts apologizing again i'm gonna tell him to buy me something pretty.
he got home on wednesday but couldn't locate a car to use to come pick me up, so mom took pookie and me over to his place. pookie's his basset hound that i'm taking care of, i don't know if i've ever mentioned that. doug's a trainer now so he can't have pets in the truck, and he doesn't trust anyone else to take care of pookie the way he needs to be taken care of. he's got a weird obsession with water and he just needs constant attention. it makes me feel good that doug loves and trusts me enough to take care of him, this dog is like his child. that showed me more than anything else how much he loves me. anyway, doug started feeling sick before he got home, but once he had been home long enough to get settled, he went downhill really quick. that day was pretty much spent in bed cuddling.
after drunken injuries on thursday night, he had to get up early to leave for vacation with his family. his sister came and picked us up, and then doug drove her car from their house to take pookie and me back to mine. he and his dad took the motorcycles and they all left for daytona. they'll come back friday and then he'll have to leave for work again on monday.
but i'm looking forward to the weekend :)

the other side of his family has a condo in panama. they're going at the end of july. doug's insisting that i'm going too. his mom's always offered for his brother and him to bring someone with them but i think there's suddenly a lot of people talking about going or something, i dunno. he told her that if i'm not going, he's not going :P

heather and i are going bowling tomorrow night. her work's throwing some shindig at the place where i killed my knee playing lazertag. that happened like 5 years ago and it still acts up sometimes. i can feel when rain's on the way o.o

doug won't be home until in the morning. poop :(
oh well. he'll be home in the morning :D <3

sooooo in my meandering around the internet to keep myself busy tonight, i stumbled onto neopets again for the first time in, probably a couple of years now. i have no interest in returning to neopia, but i was wondering...
does anyone know of anyone who will do commissions to be paid for in neopoints? i've seen lots of people doing that, though technically you aren't aloud. pff, technicalities. anyway, i've got about 375,000 NPs. i didn't even look to see what kinds of items i had stashed away, but i got really into that site for a while.

i'm working on rounding out a character for doug :3
i want him to help me flesh out an image for him without going all murrypurryfurfag on him. i just want cute pictures of us :D
it's all sort of falling into place really nicely, actually. as far as the reasons that i think this stuff fits.

i'm thinking he's white (there's a lot of white pony/white horse symbolism that fits well) but like, a dirty white. brown hair but no mane, since he keeps his hair so short. that's sort of an inside joke too. his buddy josh is always the butt of small dick jokes, and josh's wife danielle was trying to make a joke about doug. she said something about how doug was horse-like "except for one thing" and i go "yeah, he doesn't have a mane" and scratched his head. he ate that up lol.
anyway, pierced tongue, and i figure maybe his tattoos? (his back and his leg) they're complicated but it'd add a lot to something as simple as a short haired blue eyed dirty white mini horse.

bleh, i should get ready for bed. he'll call soon and then i'll go flop in bed and won't get up again.

the comedy show last night was AWESOME. the little flyers on the table said that the laughing skull is the world's smallest comedy club. it seats 74 people and it's tucked away inside the vortex. and they apparently has the best burgers in atlanta. for like the past 12 years. i'd love to try one but we're broke muthas. it's 18 and over, which we kinda of assumed, and brandon's not actually going to be 18 until the 19th, but he's crazy tall and no questions were asked. good thing. the place was all tucked away in the back. it's like, you go inside this bar and grill, and head back to the back where the kitchen doors and the bathrooms are, and you go down this long hallway and get your hand stamped, turn to the right and there's a tiny room behind a black curtain. those tables were teeny tiny. we had our feet up on the stage. doug benson told will he could see up his shorts. which he totally couldn't have because they were past his knees but whatev. HA, and someone else was talking about what an annoying expression "whatev" was.
doug benson gave me a lighter leash! he came out on stage and like greeted everyone and said who he was, and he's like "i wanted to show you guys this thing" and he had a bracelet with a string of beads on it on his wrist. he said it was for when you're smoking and you always lose your lighter, you just stick it in the loop on the other end and it hangs from your wrist. and he asked if anyone had a lighter. we were RIGHT in front of the stage, he couldn't have been three feet away. so i made a dive bomb for my lighter, because it has a transformers sticker on it and i wondered if he'd say anything about it. he looked at it really hard and you could see him trying to come up with a joke about it or something but he just kept on with his thing. anyway when he handed me my lighter back, he gave me the whole little thing. i had him sign it after the show. i had actually brought my pot box with me, i was going to have him sign that. but this is cooler. it's from him AND signed by him. it's the dumbest idea, but it is pretty handy to have it on the lighter, just not on your wrist. it's like roach clips with feathers, they're just easier to keep track of. because yes, we are definitely lighter misplacers.
and he imitated me and called me a criminal :P he asked who had seen super high me and everyone's all WOOOO! then he asked who downloaded it illegally and i lightly woo'd with my hand up to my face, and he's like "oh woo, woooo! ya criminal!" but then he said he didn't care. hell, it made him 60 bucks that night cuz we wouldn't love him so much if i hadn't found that movie lol
will had a little spy cam in a pen in his pocket. the video from that is amazing, but the audio's a joke. it's really bad. but his roomate tim is a music producer and he said he might be able to clean up the audio some. that'd be pretty bitchin.
